Reward if store clerk killed in Talladega Co.

TALLADEGA Co., Ala. (WBRC) – Officials are looking for a suspect after a Talladega County store clerk was killed in a robbery Wednesday night, according to Talladega County Sheriff Jimmy Kilgore.

UPDATE: Talladega County Sheriff’s Officers are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest or identity of anyone involved in the robbery and murder of Sri Satya Krishna Chitturi.

Sheriff Jimmy Kilgore has announced he is offering an additional $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the murder of Sri Satya Krishna Chitturi at the Crown Service Station on February 9, 2022. Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is also offering a $1,000 Reward for information in this case.

Investigators are looking for information on the suspect described as a black male, approximately 6′ to 6′2″, with a slender build wearing black clothing, an Air Jordan backpack, with black and white Nike shoes.

When deputies arrived, they found Sri Satya Krishna Chitturi, 27, unresponsive inside the store. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
