North Marion County store clerk foils theft by putting theft suspect on hold
A Citra man went to his local Circle K on Sunday to buy beer. But she was told her debit / credit card had been rejected.
At this point, the Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies were later informed that the man came out, took a screwdriver, came back and, brandishing the tool like a weapon, attempted to steal money in the cash register.
Instead, the 49-year-old was restrained with a sleep catch by an employee and others detained him until deputies arrived and made an arrest.
