GREENSBORO – Police are asking for help in identifying a wanted man in a Friday morning shootout that injured a store clerk.

Officers responded at around 10 a.m. to University Mart at 722 Warren St. Friday with a report of a gunshot victim and found an injured store clerk, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Crime Stoppers posted photos of the man suspected of being involved in the theft on Friday.

GREENSBORO – Police are investigating a Friday morning shooting that left one person in critical condition.

Officers responded at around 10 a.m. to Block 700 Warren Street on Friday for a report of a gunshot victim and found one person injured, police said in a press release. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Police taped a section of Spring Garden Street at its intersection with Warren Street as officers investigate the shooting.
