A store clerk plotted a theft with a suspect

BOSQUE COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) – An investigation into the reported theft from the Lake Stop Convenience Store in Laguna Park has revealed that it was “a planned theft carried out by a store employee and the suspect who committed theft, ”Bosque County said. Sheriff Trace Hendricks.

MPs arrested Tara Johanning, the saleswoman at the time of the theft, Hendricks said.

Johanning is charged with criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, a third degree felony.

Investigators have identified Carlos Brown Maeso as the masked suspect in the theft. Maeso is described as a Hispanic man, about six feet tall and weighing 220 pounds. Maeso has tattoos of distinction on his arms.

The man is currently a fugitive on the run with an arrest warrant for conspiracy to commit robbery.

Maeso is known to frequent Waco and the Laguna Park area.

The sheriff’s office said it would charge and arrest anyone providing shelter or transportation, or assisting Maeso anyway while he remains on the run.
